Ages 5-7
PRIMARY LEVEL 1-2
Your dance journey begins here! Beginning dancers ages 5-7 with zero to one year of experience are a Level 1 or Level 1-2 and should take 2-3 (45 minute) classes weekly to begin to build their foundation. Dancers will learn the fundamentals including proper technique, dance terminology and musicality. Avanti’s Primary Level 1-2 Class Offerings Include:

At this age, dancers’ ability to focus is still developing. We recommend they try class(es) for at least three months before transferring to a different style. Balancing a weekly class schedule to include at least one foundational class (such as ballet or jazz) with a class like Hip Hop or Musical Theater and tumbling will keep the dancer more engaged and eager to learn.
Ages 8-10
SECONDARY LEVEL 2 AND 2-3
This typically starts at age 8. Dancers should train in 3-4 classes weekly, to include two foundational class such as ballet and technique, necessary for the dancer’s physical development (endurance/muscle growth), confidence and focus. On this training path, skills and foundation are continuing to grow. We encourage dancers to set annual goals. Repetition and consistency will be very important to the dancer’s personal progress.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 3 AND 3-4
Ages 8-10 Level 3 or 3-4 should train in 5-6 classes weekly to include three foundation classes (Ballet, Technique, Flexibility & Conditioning, Acro-Tumbling etc.) along with their preferred style classes. The artist begins to emerge as dancers at this level are developing stronger musicality, timing, awareness of body alignment, picking up choreography faster and becoming stronger technically. Keeping dancer’s on a trajectory will be key in helping them meet and/or exceed their goals.

Dance is a performing art, we highly encourage all dancers to participate in our annual showcases. Not only does performing give dancers an opportunity to show off what they have been working on but it is also very important for dancer’s developmental growth, learning how to tell a story through dance, perform to an audience and build confidence!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
TRIALS, TUITION, POLICIES
If you would like to complete a trial class before fully committing, please do not register for the class of choice below. Instead, CLICK HERE and a member of our staff will assist you with scheduling a free trial dance class.
CHECK-IN FOR CLASS:
Parents must check in their child at the front desk or on one of our iPads for dancers under the age of seven. Dancers ages seven and older may check themselves in provided they know the primary phone number on their account.
MAKE-UP’S/MISSED CLASSES: Students will have 30 days to make up any missed classes while student is enrolled. Once enrollment has been cancelled the student forfeits any make-ups. Make-ups may not be transferred to another student. To schedule a make-up, parents can do this in the customer portal (Jackrabbit account). You will need to login to your Jackrabbit account to do this. For assistance with navigating how to book a make-up CLICK HERE for a short how to video. ACCESSIVE ABSENCES: If a student has an unexcused absences of three or more classes consecutively or missed the same class five or more times within a two month period for any class which is at maximum capacity, ADC reserves the right to drop the student from the class and make his/her spot available to another student who has been on a waitlist for said class.
HOLIDAYS: The studio will not necessarily close regardless if area schools are closed. If in doubt call the studio or check our website before coming to class. If classes are canceled notification from the studio will be sent via email or posted on the website www.avantidancecompany.com
ARRIVING LATE: To avoid class disruption, dancers may not be permitted to enter the class if arriving more than 10 minutes after the class has started. Permitting any late entry will be at the discretion of the instructor. Students may be invited to observe class only (whether in the studio by instructor discretion or in the lobby). If you are going to be late, please call the studio and ask for the teacher to be notified.

You may make a lateral change from one class to another class of choice anytime provided there is availability in the class of choice. If you wish to indefinitely cancel a class enrollment, you must complete the Online Cancellation Form 30 Days prior to the next billing cycle. We do not accept cancellations by phone, in person, email or through the Jackrabbit portal. Not showing up for class does not constitute a cancellation of enrollment. Students will continued to be billed despite not attending class until the cancellation form has been completed.
